Nearing NaNoWriMo

October hit with the realization that November's noveling adventure is only 31 days away. I'd flee in terror except between the stress of work, a lingering cold and a two day migraine, well, I just don't have that kind of energy. Instead I'm sitting on the couch declaring that the Broken Race prequel is my chosen project and if that goes to hell at some point in the month, I'll fall back to pounding out short stories or filling in one of the missing middles of a past NaNo novel. Assuming there will be time to write, there's no lack for projects that could benefit from 50,000 words or any portion thereof.

Our regional forum is up and buzzing with energy. Details are being worked out for various events. Write-ins are filling our calendar. Raffles prizes are overflowing. So far, all is well in NaNoLand.

  1. Uh-oh! It's that time of year when your Super Woman cape just has to get an airing. Good luck with it. Also, if you are interested, I tagged you on my blog recently - an excuse to talk more about your WIP.

  2. Thanks for the tag! Now I have to decide on which project to officially call "current WIP" ;)

My cape was in need of airing, I suppose. At least I'm finally feeling somewhat better today so maybe things will continue on an upward swing. I can only hope.

  3. Exactly what I wanted to talk to you about. Think I might want to join your group this year, as Muskegon hasn't really worked out for me in the past. That cool with you? Can I have your blessing? Do I need to fill out an application?

    1. Of course you can join. We adopt wrimos from all over. :)

I hope I can make a GH write-in at some point and bring my kitten jar of challenges and some loot for you guys. If that doesn't work out, try to make it to DOKN - our six our write-in of prizes, fun and, of course, the tasty table of perpetual grazing.

Join the conversation. It gets lonely in here without you.
